About the Event

Join Sandra, Pete and Torquil for a morning learning all about bees! We will meet at the Drummuir Estate Office and start off with an introductory talk on bees. Pete will cover the basics of beekeeping including hive designs, seasonality, flowers and kit. There will be the chance to see some bees close up in the bee display. After the general introduction we will move to Pete’s garden (just a 5 minute walk across a field) where we will see the bees in full swing! To finish (around midday), there will be some honey tasting alongside homemade pancakes!
